Messgage from a TV Assistant producer who needs help from camera friendly businesses:

‘Hi there

We are making a new primetime show for Channel 4 about weddings.  48 couples are going to be married over 16 days at our special venue. We will provide a team of wedding professionals to make the ceremony a dream come true. We want to give these couples the
perfect ceremony (just the ceremony, not the Reception).

We are looking for ALL wedding essentials; including brides and
bridesmaid dresses, men€™s outfits, shoes, lingerie, flowers, balloons,
champagne flutes, ice statues, chocolates, candles, accessories, fancy dress
outfits, hair products, make up products, carpets and furniture.

Many Thanks

Sophie’
If you can offer any of these products, please contact us here or blog back.

Big news this week for TV makers and gmbo.tv clients . . .

The inevitable has finally happened. The government has agreed to legalise Product Placement in TV in the UK to help ease the pockets of TV channels and Production Companies.

This means that all the TV people who use this site will be needing to use it more. It means the TV shows that are currently searching for brands to use on this site, including THE X FACTOR, THE APPRENTICE and BRITAIN’S NEXT TOP MODEL will be able to give you something back for your help.

Also, for brands who have cash to splash, just as in America, brands will be able to pay to feature in UK TV shows.

As of this week getmybusinesson.tv will be stepping up their game to help suppliers contact the TV makers that need them. Contact us here if you’re interested in Product Placing in a TV show. We are still the only company with over 3 thousand TV users and a finger on the pulse of what’s hot in the industry.

More details in the below article.

gmbo.tv and Media Mingles get in bed together… at last!

Hannah Springham (me) and Kathryn Camsey (Media Mingles owner)

Hannah Springham (me) and Kathryn Camsey (Media Mingles owner)

Hannah Springham (me) and Kathryn Camsey (Media Mingles owner) at last month’s event.

So last month our sister company ‘Media Mingles’ had a very successful launch, so successful in fact that people are already trying to rebook for their next event.

And this time we’re joining forces! We’re hosting a joint party for gmbo.tv clients and TV people as well as the ‘Media Mingles’ bunch – home to single creative types from backgrounds such as design, music, media,  and more.

So i can tell you that the date to stick in your diaries is Friday 25th September. 7pm till late at Proud, Camden.

gmbo.tv clients go free and all TV people / creative types pay 5 quid to be there – not bad eh?

The idea is that 1. we all have a few drinks together, 2. we meet like minded people and potentially gain a few contacts while enjoying ourselves, 3. a few of us may pick up more than just contacts if they play their cards right as Kat pulls together the single hotties of the creative world.

Visit www.mediamingles.com or email kat@mediamingles.com for your tickets now. Clients quote gmbo.tv and the name of their business for free passes.

See you there!

‘I was wondering if you could help out at all with a rather urgent problem I have -  I need a disused/empty type flat for a shoot early next week that will also be being filmed for Jack TV. Our location has fallen through at the last minute and we are pretty desperate – any ideas?

Does anywhere come to mind?

Thanks

Louise’

‘Crew Me Now LTD’  is our sister company.

Set up by TV Producer / Director’s Hannah Springham and Paula Campion. (picture below)

Hannah Springham and Paula Campion

Hannah Springham and Paula Campion

It’s a recruitment company for Production staff – hence the ‘TV Jobs’ box on the gmbo.tv home page.  Researchers, AP’s, PD’s, SP’s . . . you name them, we crew them but not like any other company.

We only represent great people and we don’t charge them for it. Instead we charge the Production Company a finders fee for providing last minute gold.

Crew Me Now freelancers

Let’s be honest what kind of wonderful TV freelancer needs an agent to take a whack off their rate? And how many agencies out there that are really run by TV makers who know what these Production Companies need?

We offer fast and effective solutions.

We have a database of cream of the crop talent which grows gradually as we meet more excellent people. We either know them personally or have met them and talked to glowing references. It’s not in our interest to take on anyone less that top grade talent as we’re out to please the Production Companies.

So far we’ve sucessfully got jobs for Series Producers, Producer / Directors and a TV PA. Production companies that have used us and love us so far are: Crackit, Flame TV, Pulse Films, Zone Content and October Films.  Website with full testimonials will follow soon. For now you can keep an eye on job posts on the gmbo.tv home page.

If you want us to crew for you, find out our rates or be on our books then please send us an email to crew@crewmenow.tv

I’m afraid we don’t yet offer placements for editors or camera crew. We’re just filling the gaping hole of Production recruitment at the moment but keep watching our sucessful little space . . .
